What do you guys think of this black marble wood grain kit???

I've had my 4runner for almost 3 and a half years, so I decided that I should do some upgrades. Most of the interior upgrade kits don't seem well done, but this looks pretty nice.

One question though. My dash right now is silver and dark grey. I like the contrast. Do you guys think covering up the silver with the black marble will add to the look or take away the look. I don't have to apply all the pieces.

I wouldn't mind getting some general opinions on whether you like this kit or not as well.

Sorry but it looks a little too cheesy/tacky imho. Too shiny. You can still see parts of the original silver paneling as it doesn't cover the whole area, and by that it just screams "stickers". The part that covers the glove compartment especially looks out of place especially on the handle. I agree on the carbon fiber look instead. Meh, just my opinion, it's your truck, do what makes you happy.

Thanks for the advice. I originally wanted to just put it around the center area of the dash (cup holders/the small storage bin and around the HVAC controls; and then just leave the silver that extends around the actual vents. I think that will work, but I'm not sure about the rest of it.

When I get it i'll see how it looks for real and if it's fugly then I won't do it.

I hate any type of wood grain look . Probably because its all just plastic.

I don't particularly like it due to it's "floor tile" look. But on the other hand, I don't like anything that attaches via double sided tape.

Nope. It's from under the clock (climate control, cubby bin, bits and pieces fore and aft the cup holders) to the front of the shifter and in the door panel above the door inserts. The piece that surrounds the radio and houses the air vents are silver.

That's the exact same ugly crap mine came with when I bought it, and I plan to peel it off and throw it away one day. I hate it, looks cheesy and doesnt even cover up all the silver. I had thought about pulling that section of my dash out and painting it body color anyway.

Ok, this was my original intention. I wanted to make the interior of my 4runner look like the interior of a limited model. Now just out of curiosity, do you guys like this or the interior of the limited better? I'm just curious since a couple of guys said they don't like that either?

Also, do you guys like the darker colored interiors of the newer sport models? I'm talking about the darker color that extends down from either side of the radio/hvac stack (it used to be silver).

The Limited is alright, not my favorite. The new Sport and old Sport trims each have their own appeal- I wouldn't say one is better than the other. I would stay with either of the Sport trims if it were my vehicle.
