Not sure if your joking about this or not...so, I'll laugh "haha" and then say no dice on the trade...carpet is cosmetic and suspension most likely isn't too big a fix. just my opinion, but van vs. suv and (with respect) chevy vs toyota?

Hmm well do you actually want a mini-van?
If not but your always looking for the next best deal like me...take it to carmax to have the value appraised and if the offer is worth more to you than your 4runner do the trade, take her $1000, and sell the Venture. Use the $ to get what you really want!

If I were you I would NOT trade. The chevy will only give you problems that will cost you much more than you will gain from the deal. My $0.02.

Unless your 4runner is trashed and her minivan is pristine, there should be at least a $5000 difference in the value of those two vehicles.
Might want to check autotrader or craigslist to see what others are asking for the same vehicle. The only way I'd trade my 4runner for a Chevy would be if someone put a gun to my head and even then I'd have to think about it...

A quick look at Kelly Blue Book puts her vehicle at about $3500 (private party sale) and yours at a little more than $5000 (private party sale). Personally, I would never trade a 4Runner for a Chevy Venture, but if you want to do that, tell her you'll need more than $1000 to make the swap.

lol i know right those threads are interwebz legends on the car forums, i was really really impressed he got 1/2 way through a 20lb bag before the motor quit! it was even shooting it out the exhaust before he seized it! if i ever buy a car instead of a truck i may just have to think about audi! lol
i don't know which one was worse though the guy thinking he could buy nos from a 7-11 cooler or the just dumping massive amounts of sand into his intake oh and his buddy only knows hondas! lol
