What do you think this is worth? Rare low miles with SC

Found a low mileage 1998 runner with superchrarger, tacoma rear e locker and the other mods listed below. Just curious what the forum thinks fair market value is for the 1998 4runner.

98 Toyota 4runner SR5 4x4
62,500 miles (very low)
3.4l v6
Automatic trans
TRD supercharger kit ( runs great)
Full Sonoran steel suspension. (the best)
Baja roof rack
aftermarket rims
315/70/17 Goodyear Duratrac tires, like new around 4k miles on them
5.29 gears ( geared back to factory ratio for bigger tires)
custom bumpers front and rear
custom rock sliders
e locker out of tacoma
pioneer head unit
all fluids changed within the last 1K miles to full synthedic
timing belt and water pump changed 2k miles ago.

I would guess they are asking $15-$20k. It's worth whatever a willing buyer and willing seller agree on. Which might be in the $15-$20k range.

Wow that sounds kinda high,i was thinking maybe somewhere around 8-10k .but the value is in the eye of the buyer.although it is a nice rig, The more i think about it 10-15 k may be a good deal if you really wanted that truck ,more than that would be a lot in my opinion .

The seller is lying.

No one finds a low mileage 98 3rd gen below 70k miles, Mods it like that and then sells it.

Mileage fraud is a lot more common than most people realize. We even have a few threads about it here.

TB & WP could be due to age. With that paint job, lift etc it's certainly possible it was a weekend toy for someone hence the low mileage.

Mileage is kinda hard to believe its hard to believe someone would put that kind of money into regular maintenance just to turn around and sell it. And it would probably sell for like 12-15k around here easy.

Then set aside $4000 to mod the hell out of it ... and another $2000 for a engine replacement many years down the road .... and another $1000 to spend on lapdances and you would still have a better deal.

There was a 99 here in DC (actually Annapolis), 4wd, no locker with 54,xxx miles on it for sale last year, owned by a professor that lived on the Navy campus. He only used it to pick up his kids for visitation on the weekends, and around town. He was selling it only because he got remarried and was moving off campus.

I think it moved quickly for less than $11k. So there are few out there with less than 100K miles (Hepar comes to mind for one) still around.

I 110% agree but that's just what people pay in Oregon particularly. It's nuts and makes it impossible to find a reasonable priced one.

With the mods and if the mileage is true its a really great deal at the 8800.00 asking price.
I would jump on it if I were in the market. Being a desert car its probably rust free too.
The mods it has add up quickly, it would cost way more to build.
And yeah the paint could be better but some bed liner is only going to cost you a few hundred and a weekend.

The problem with rigs that have heavy duty tires and suspension/drivetrain mods is 1. That they are likely to have been wheeled, and, consequently, beat to s--t, and 2. Who knows if the mods were done right?
It is generally better to buy the rig that has stock suspension sagging from age, original paint, and P-rated 4-ply tires, which means they probably just drove it on the street.

So I wanted to see what people thought about price before posting it. The seller is asking $8800 (a little high if you ask me, if you could get it for $7000 I think it would be a great deal)

Carfax shows mileage in order from the 3 owners total. Started in New York. Same owner took it to Colorado which may make sense for low miles as maybe a second home in CO, second owner took it to New Mexico and had it as a fourth vehicle and third owner has had it in the desert environment for 2 years as a third vehicle.

Clean and clear title

Clean and Clear carfax (for what its worth) (hopefully no fooling with odometer)

All of these recent mods were done in the last 2 years of ownership

Wheels
Tires
Sonoran steel suspension
baja rack
timing belt
water pump
fluid changed and serviced

Funny how your initial thoughts are usually accurate ,my first reaction to this thread is the truck should price between 8-10k .but then i thought i live in a large metropolitan area where there is a lot of choices and inventory,so prices stay competitively low.then you factor in what is considered expensive to some might not be to others, add the value of someone else spending all the time to do these mods ,moneys spent on mod items ,personal taste ,ect,ect.you end up in a somewhat grey area value wise . if you could wheel and deal in the 7's i think it would be good value realistically even in low 8's but then again there's a lot of features i like ,but this ones not how i would set mine up 100% ,daily drivability,paint scheme ect..,but thats just me.but like i said it is a nice truck !good luck.
