Similar sit.....

I've towed my 7,000lb trailer no problem.....sometimes not realize it and get up to 80 mph and have to slow it back down.....

Just inherited a 30' travel trailer weighing in at 6k. I have the same year as yours but limited with the V8. I'm putting air lift in the back, have an electric brake controller and considering the load sensing/sway hitch. Did you do anything to your truck?

I picked this 2008 Kodiak 21BH in the spring. 4000lbs dry and with a Curt WDH it pulls pretty sweet with my 04 V8!!! Only had her on 1 trip so far, but 3 more trips are scheduled this year.

Finally towed trailer and RZR to Glamis with the new Trail.
Absolutely awesome.
The combo of ICONs and air bags and brake controller makes towing a dream with a perfect level ride. I can definitely tell the difference from my '14 SR5, it had Bilsteins, brake controller and no air bags and I had substantial rear sag.
It is hard to describe, but the ICONS and air bags allowed me to go as fast a I wanted, my comfort zone is 70-75mph, with not a worry in the world and firm feel.
Just thought I would share, I know I look to this forum for real world experiences. IMHO, well worth the investment of ICONS.

Those of you that have towed uhaul trailers with your 3rd Gens, how well do they pull them? I'm probably going to pull a 5x8 (don't think I'll need the big 6x12) from MI to AZ fully loaded and I'm curious how well they tow.

Don't have a pic but I have towed my 2800lb Subaru on a porky U Haul trailer with my 5th gen. Pulls great, I would like to add air bags for longer hauls but thats more to just keep composure.

Finally got this little gem through inspection and properly licensed, and basically tucked it away for the winter. Might have to break it out for a weekend of dry camping soon though.
