What does this connector do on rear glass?

Hello,

Does anyone know what does this connection do on OEM rear glass? I bought an after market rear glass for my 2016 4runner Limited , but it does not have this connection.

Can you post a pic of the connector on the broken OEM glass? Maybe that will be a clue as to what it's for.

Unfortunately it was all broken. I got my 4runner from acution and I am repairing it my self. I can't find that connector.

Is it just a location for a ground wire?

That's my 1st though as well, but the aftermarket glass will also have a connection for that...

Thanks for the closer picture, the 2 connections above are the ones I was referring to for the defroster
