super lube based on your recommendation although previously used red grease and feel like the red grease has longer regrease intervals over the super lube

tri flow dry lube as recommended as well for the uniball although that seems to thicken quite easily in 40 degree weather

If you're trying to grease polyurethane, the end-game product is Energy Suspension Formula 5... teflon base, marine grade, tacky so it won't wash out. Comes with all ES polyurethane kits and is available in bulk.

Lots of companies use ES grease, many of them privately labeled. Even Toyota supplies it with TRD sway bars (such as for the MKIV Supra)

Red bearing grease is generally made to be slick, not tacky. Polyurethane bushings need a tacky grease, otherwise, it will wash out, resulting in squeaking.

If you are using red bearing grease on polyurethane bushings, you'll be pulling it all back apart because they WILL start to squeak - especially if you wheel your rig.

I use Lucas Oil Red "N" Tacky grease for everything. UCA's and drivetrain.
Hope I'm not creating a problem. I called Lucas and they said that its perfect for all my applications. If that's wrong, please let me know.

I'm not exactly sure which red grease shops are using. Some of their customers have over 30k miles of mixed-use (75% street, 25% dirt) and don't have any squeaks. No noise whatsoever

One of our customers had over 50K on his previous ride and never touched the bushings. After some serious use, they were in great shape

Red "N" Tacky Grease

You won't be creating any problems. That grease looks like a good option for your UCAs.

Will the grease used potentially cause, or could it eliminate incessant squeaking?

I have a newly installed (3k miles) Icon stage 2 suspension. It has squeaked on the front right side since day one. I had the delta joints checked and re-greased the bushings (done by the guy that installed) and there is still a ton of noise. Any little bump and I get squeaking.

I use SuperLube on my Chaos UCA, seems like they start squeaking every 10k miles, this last time I lubed them and can't get rid of the squeaking.

Might try some of the others mentioned after reading this thread.

Valvoline (VV615) Multi-Purpose Grease

Used this forever and never had a problem! 3 shots of grease in each of the 3 alamites in both of my JBA UCA's every oil change and all is good!

Running the incorrect grease could certainly cause noise. Using the proper grease will reduce, if not eliminate noise.

i used this on my icon uca's and delta joint. the hotchkiss stuff sounds interesting though

Well I found out the source of my squeaking... It seems like both the zerg fittings on the drivers side are clogged cant get any lube in them. Noticed this a bit the last time but just figured I put too much in and it was coming back out.

What now? Guess I remove the zerg fittings and clean them out?

Try a paperclip or something similar and press on the center of the zerk. It should relieve the pressure and grease will come out.

If you can't do this, the zerk fitting may need to be replaced

Thanks for the tip, I will try that next time. I ended up just unscrewing the zerk fittings and cleaning them out with WD40, that resolved it. Quiet ride again!! :bigok:

This time I added the Hotchkis grease that was recommended in this thread, will report back if it works any better than the Super Lube.
