What has been your favorite/most useful mod?

Howdy folks! I've caught the nodding bug big time. I literally can't stop. As I start "building up" my 4Runner as a 60/40 wheeling/overlanding platform, I am curious as to what everyone would consider to be their favorite or most useful mod, or both. I'm really curious. Right now, I am really itching for a roof rack (so I can add a few more lights) and a front bumper (although I'll likely upgrade my front coilovers first). :zoom:

Most useful mod was also the cheapest. I think my total cost was somewhere right around a dollar:

12v constant power mod. Took about a half hour in my driveway but allowed me to run a fridge in my truck. Also useful for charging phones or camera batteries while we hike or sleep.

LOL, so far a $2 set of those round adjustable blind spot mirrors has been the most useful mod.

Close second would be detailing the interior after buying the vehicle.

+1 on the blind spot mirrors - I don't have any part of the lanes to my immediate left/right I can't see now!

I think my favorite mods have been switches to show the rear view camera feed on demand and to trick the GPS into letting me punch in addresses while in motion. "Trailer cargo still strapped down? *click* ...Yup."

it would have to be the smokers package console that gives you an extra cig lighter thing so you can charge more than 2 things at once.

Most useful mod is by far my WeatherTech floor liner mats, have had them in 2 4Runners so far. I wore through 2 pairs of OEM rubber mats before switching to the WT's. Best investment I've ever made.

My favorite mod by far is my LED bar

Interior LEDs have been my most useful mod, they make it so much easier to find things in the dark. As a father of a 4-yr-old, I think rear seat covers and an over-the-hump rear floor mat have been the most pragmatic. My favorite mod is the lift itself (along with all of the replaced front suspension parts) since it makes it more fun to drive. Also, not really a "mod" but I have gotten a ton of use out of one of those $50 harbor freight hitch-mounted cargo racks.

Definitely the Light Bar on the Roof Rack..I've used that thing for every type of driving! The next would be extended rear sway bars for spirited road manners...

Interior LEDs are great and easy to do...I prefer the white lite of 5000K, and looks cool in the parking lot when you unlock!

My favorite would have to be the K&N tube, makes a good sucking sound ! Then the
magnaflow out the side puts it right over the top and lets that V8 breathe !

I have two mods I'm thinking through right now and as soon as those are finished (write ups will be posted), they'll probably hit the top of my list.
