What HID/LED company are you using? post pics

High beam is as bright as oem i think, and the drl looks amazing and isn't overpowering

Is your DRL the 6K or 8K version?

50w 6500k Miramoto TRS HID's for low beam.

Xenondepot philips LED highbeam/DRLs. (Disables DRL's because as LED they are too bright)

I purchased these for DRL's/HB in 6000k

Premium 9005 21 SMD 5730 LED


They are not that bright and work great for DRL'.s When the HB is turned on they are brighter, but not as bright as stock.

However, I also have HID kit from Diode Dynamics (like the OP) in 6000K and as he stated they provide plenty of light. They have a great cut off and do not produce glare that would blind oncoming traffic.

The DRL's from the naked eye do not flicker. But (and this is kinda cool) when I took a picture with my iPhone of the DRL's the camera showed the light blinking. I'm sure there is a technical reason for this.

This was the ultimate test... My wife (it's her 4Runner) liked the look and couldn't tell they were flickering. Only when I showed her my phone when I was taking a picture could she see it.

Hope that helps. The human eye (at least mine and my wife's eyes) can't see the flickering on the DRL's.
