An extended cab pick up? Nope, the bed doesn't have enough room for more than tool box with that roll bar.

A modern version of the FJ40? Nope, that's laughable.

An SUV? Nope, you can fit more people in a VW bug.

A 4Runner? Uh.....It doesn't look anything like the newer and improved 4Runners (1990 and up).

I think a member of this board is greatly mistaken.

How about this.

A want to be Jeep? Nope, it is a better option if you want a bit more room in a more reliable package.

An extended cab pick up? Nope, it is just a short bed pickup truck if you want , unlike the latter generations, or just a four people truck, unlike an extra cab.

A modern version of the FJ40? In my opinion, not as cool, but still cool.

An SUV? Nope, people say is a truck with rear seats.

A 4Runner? Yes! It is old and slow but there is not other generation like it.

I don't know what all the fuss is about the first gen... it looks like a mazda b2200 with a roll bar lol...

I prefer the 2nd gen because the top stays on and the rear seats fold down flat!... haha! 2nd gen owners know whats up!

The top only comes off because the toyota knew people would confuse it for the mazda... vroom vroom! lol... it's like a mullet... the owners themselves just think it's cool because they don't want to accept the wannabe jeep look lol :lmao:

Everyone knows that the first gen rusting model is a stepping stone for the better/improved 2nd gen!

The first step to recovery is never a step backwards. Toyota knew what they were doing when they improved on the 1st gen and made the 2nd.
