What is the LED flasher relay Part# replacement for the OEM flasher relay?

What is the LED flasher relay Part# replacement for the OEM flasher relay on DRL equipped 2005 4Runners?

The OEM part # is 81980-35020 066500-5570. See pic below - as you can see it's a 12 pin relay - its the one on the left in the second pic.

Basically I need to find the equivalent LED relay so that I can swap out my incandescent turn signal indicators for LEDs.

Has anyone tried to mod the 12 pin relay so you can use LED's without the hyper flash. I know on my prelude I just removed one of the resistors in the relay. Has anyone tried to do this with the 12 pin DRL relay?

I used to own a 2011 tacoma....there was a thread over there on TW about using a GM/Cadillac flasher. Not sure the end result of that one...may want to search.

i just read the thread. they just grind the metal ring/hoop down?

why not just cut it off? or are they just grinding the metal down to a thinner hoop ?

i had gone through the frustration of not having a led blink when the other side blinks fine...

i had gone through the frustration of not having a led blink when the other side blinks fine...

the hoop is a resistor. If you cut it off the relay wont work at all. When you grind the hoop you are increasing the resistance just like if you pinch a hose. It tricks the flasher into thinking you are running an incandescent.

If the bulb is flat out not working, flip the LED around in the socket. They only work one way.
