What is this wire under dash for?

I just got this 99 4runner and there's a mysterious blue wire under the dash not hooked up. Also my ABS doesn't work at all. Are they linked?
The wire runs from the fuse panel under the pedals toward passenger side in a group of other wires.

Looks a little aftermarket to me.. I don't think the factory would just run wires loose like that. No idea what it would go to though.

Not positive but it could have been an aftermarket alarm at one point? I think the red/black wires in the picture are for the alarm tweeter on the other side of the firewall.

Don't get me started on alarms for these things, my truck sat idle for 3 days because I disconnected the battery and didn't have the key FOB necessary to reconnect without the alarm sounding.

edit: second look they may actually have been for an aftermarket stereo/amp at some point. I'm going to stop playing the guessing game and let the other, more knowledgeable posters pinpoint exactly what it is.

Definately looks like it is aftermarket. Like others, no idea what it goes to though.

Figured it out. I guess I could have done this before making this thread but I traced the wires to this onboard telephone thing under the passenger carpet.

Possibly a remote turn-on for an amp that was in there. Does it go to the same place as the other yellow, red, and black wires? If so, what are they going to.

Now I wonder why my ABS doesn't work. The fuse is good, but I don't get the light when I turn the key on and I can skid in snow.

ABS issues could be a number of things, from a bad or dirty ABS wheel sensor to the ABS computer, etc. I'd check the wheel sensors first
