What is your *least fav* 4G feature?

The plastic corner pieces on the roof rack. A branch fell on one in the driveway and broke it to pieces. Stealer told my wife $77 for a new one after she complained about the $80+ price first quoted. I put it back together with two types of glue. Then I broke another one yesterday when I bumped it with the foaming brush at the carwash.
Any place else to get these besides the stealer?

All these have been mentioned before, but;
1. No wiper mist function.
2. No heated side view mirrors on SR5 ( the older ones had it ;-( )
3. No inside rear hatch release.
4. Trip/mileage computer not accurate.
5. Those plastic shields for the front seat rails, wife has 'killed' two of them already.
6. Interior is too pretty, I can't wait for it to get 'old' so I won't worry about messing it up when I go in the field hunting.

- The door lock and window controls are in the wrong spot
- on the "06" V-6 the 5 speed auto shifts into top gear to soon and it feals like it should be in 4th gear.
- Don't forget the piece of junk stock tires I think for a rig that is this much $$$ the stock tires should be better.

Hmm, things that bug me...
#1 No mist feature on the wipers..my `98 Tacoma had it, why doesn't my `06 4runner???
#2 Why on earth did they copy the late `80's Fords with window control placement? There's a reason even Ford doesn't put them there any more.
and #3 The gas door release lever is just in a silly place. I've popped the hood 2 or 3 time trying to open my gas door at night.
All in all I really can complain too much, but these three things are my pet peeves.

the absolute #1 thing that annoys me on this car is that the truck is not level (front is too low). this can easily be fixed though.
i agree about the window switch location but with that nice looking door panel design, where else is it going?
something that i haven't seen mentioned... i wish that even the sport edition's 2nd row seats reclined or had the 3rd row option or both.

only read page 1 and 9 so far. i got a few more but i'll wait till i read the rest. with all this said, it seems like i might not like the 4R. NOT TRUE. This truck is fantastic! as with all cars, none are perfect in every way.

pulling back on the right arm in the steering column activates the wipers mist function, no?

That's for windshield washer, it'll squirt washer fluid. The mist function is suppose to only allow the wipers turn on for one wipe cycle when pushed once, or multiples when held on. It's handy in foggy weather. On Toyotas that do have the mist function, it's above the 'Off' position.

1st) The placement for the inside power for my radar detector. Stupid placement. I shouldn't have to ohard wire it for it to look good.
2nd) Lack of foot room between the brake pedal and the inside edge of the plastic foot well. Some of my shoes barely fit in there without contacting the brake on the way to the gas.
3rd) The doors lock everytime I put it in gear. When I get out and try to open one of the other doors, I have to remeber to unlock them first. I want them all to either lock and unlock, not just the one. Pain in the ARSE!
Overall, I like it. I miss my Tundra at times, but this is a big improvement from my '90 4Runner.
On the positive:
1st) I installed the iPod control unit and it integrated well with the factory stereo and steering wheel controls. Very nice.
2nd) Overall looks are great for my '04 SE in Mica, with BFG AT's.

You can change this. The instructions are in your owner's manual. On mine, I have them all lock when the gear is moved from park. Then, the all unlock when I put the gear in park.

I agree, I think the car is very steady and not ponderous at high speeds one bit. Today I took both hands off the wheel for a second (yeah, one second, I'm not a moron!) to grab something and no correction was needed after my hands returned to the wheel.
Only gripe I have is the break and gas pedals are too close together and when I wear my steel toes on the way to work I have to consiously avoid nicking the break pedal when accelerating from a stop.

You must have the JBL, the thing that annoyed me about the JBL, is if you don't put the surround sound setting on, you don't get sound out of the center channel

these two.
also, the farking widow switches on the drivers door. most cars you can just pop your arm over to them it use them, on the 4runner you have to consciously put your had UNDER the grab handle. terrible ergonomics.
