What kind of gas mileage do you get ?

I have a 97 with the 3.4L six and an automatic.

70% city and 30% hwy, I got 22.4 mpg....... which is much better than I expected. I drive it really easy and I am sure that helps.

19.5 mpg

Your mileage of 22.4 is truly outstanding. In order for me to break the 20 mpg mark I have to have at least 70% highway driving. One time I got 400 miles on a tank, got 23 mpg, coming back from Florida on I-75.

Anyway, I keep records and my average for 40,000 miles is 19.5 mpg. There are some 16 mpg and some 22 mpg but overall it is a respectable 19.5 mpg.

Note: Since I have a 2WD I have a 3.7 rear end. At 2,000 RPM I am going 67 mph. On a 4WD with a 4.1 rear end, it is more like 60 mph at 2,000 RPM. That helps my mileage a little.

Near as I care to figure it

Wife manages right about 20mpg on 60/40 hwy/city mix. 2001 4WD auto, not a sport model, so it's got a rear diff that helps the mpg cause.

I've had 22.5 avg on a tank from F to E while driving a relatively constant 80mph (hwy 5 California from Bay area to Los Angeles - mostly flat). I was impressed as we had a 4 adults and all the luggage.

As soon as I engage 4WD mileage drops to 10mpg, even with adopting a snowy-conditions driving style (slow, easy on the gas and brakes, etc).

Can't believe how much the system saps mileage.

my truck is really bad.
I don't know if its because of my flowmaster after market exhaust. sounds nice but.
I get only 210mpg (bad)-- 250mpg (good) per tank.
thats why I bought a motorcycle to save some money in these expensive gas times.

My 03 is average about 20.8 on my daily commute which is mostly country roads and highway with some small hills. On my last highway trip I averaged 23.8.
