What kind of mileage are you getting?

Guys, what kind of mileage are you guys getting in your 3rd gen.s.

I used to have one, but I dont remember what kind of mileage I was getting.

I am looking at both 3rd and 4th gens, and the mileage is going to be a big deciding factor.

I'm getting like 17.5-18.5 city. That's with 265/70.

I agree that if you don't have a favorite as far as 3rd or 4th and if money isn't an issue go with the 4th. I like the power of the V8, the safety features and other technology that the 4th Gen offers.

3rd and 4th gens get about the same mileage but the 4th gens have better HP/torque which when pulling hills and such you might see slightly better average MPGs with a 4th gen since it doesn't have to work as hard as the 3.4s in the 3rd gens.

I get @ 17-17.5 mpg, mostly city on my 01 sc'd T4R.

I am guessing the "seriously" is about the V8 enthusiasm. If you really think the V6 sucks I wonder what you would have to say about our V6 :
The V6 in the 4th gen is plenty...the V8 will put a smile on your face if you are looking for power.

If those built in mpg deals in the dash on the 4th gens are accurate the '08 gets 19. I know for sure I personally average 17 in my '02

Lately I have been getting 270-280 miles on a full tank. And filling up between 16- and 16.5 gallons each time. So around 17 MPG over all, and that's from like 20 miles of city driving and 20 miles of highway driving per day
