It will be either 12v DC or 110 AC. Not both.
How small do you want it? What do you want to do with it?

If it fits in that area it will not have enough capacity for car tires or a raft. It will work but may take a very long time.
Many use a Vair or ARB larger, more expensive unit and those may still take a few minutes per tire if you use it to fill after airing down for off road.
I use a 10 pound CO2 tank; fills in 30 seconds. Power tank has a nice one, I made a home-brew CO2 system. Bought a tank and regulator separately plus hose and ARB gauge/fill chuck.
I use the space you showed to store my snatch strap.

This is my first one for the 4R and it has been doing a great job so far. I have used it probably 20 times and had no issues. I usually air down about 5-7 lbs less than normal street driving when I go on dirt/washboard/forest service roads and it takes about 10 minutes to get all tires back to street conditions. I'm not sure I'd rely on this if I was doing any kind of serious adventure in the middle of nowhere, but like I said it has been great so far for my uses. And it fits perfectly in the space you want. I keep it there all the time.

Again, I don't believe this will fit in that cubby, but it is small relatively and hasn't let me down yet. Can't beat the price either.

Best low cost portable compressor out there, can be modded and hardwired as well. I've been using mine for years.

I bought this one a couple years ago. I have only used it a few times, but it does the job. I will say I had to replace the 12v plug, which included some minor soldering. It also seems to struggle to fill my 285/70/R17 tires past 40 psi. I just tested to make sure it fits in that cubby. It does, but it's pretty snug when you try to put the hose in there with the compressor.

I started with one of these and it worked well many times. 3 to 5 minutes per tire. I carry it when I don't take my CO2 tank.

I have that one, it works fine, but is as small as I care to go.
