What rear coil is recommended for 2" lift? 6112 in the front, 5100 in back

I installed the dobinson 2" lift this weekend and the rear springs are bit too sprung for my tastes honestly. There is almost zero compression at all unloaded and it's much higher than the front. I'm hoping they settle down a little bit I'm not holding my breath. The front is perfect.

I'll talk to mike, but I think I might try some other springs

One factor to consider is that most springs used for the 5th Gen 4Runner were originally developed for other platforms (4th Gen, FJ, etc.) so the advertised lift amount might not be accurate.

For example, the "1.5-in" SAW springs generally provide a 2"+ lift for a stock 5th Gen without third row seats. Incidentally, the SAW-branded springs (made by Eibach) are no longer available.

I understand Wheelers contracted with Eibach to sell the exact same springs. They also just released a slightly shorter version that they claim produces a 1.5" lift for the 5th Gen.

If this is of any help to you, this is mine with the 6112's and 5100's.
Fronts set at max height (7th clip on driver side and 6th clip on passenger side)
Stock UCA and still have to get an alignment. I'll let you know after Saturday when I can try to go in for one somewhere.
Stock rear springs. Although I do have ToyTec springs I'm planning on putting on just before I get larger tires.

Looking forward to hearing how the alignment goes. Some real world experience with something similar to what I want to go with would def be helpful.

1. Daystar 1.5" spacer
2. SAW 1.5" springs
3. Dobinsons 2' Springs (thank me later)

STOCK UCAs will work fine but aftermarket UCAs will make it ride soooo much nicer

Think I'm just gonna go with UCAs. I see a ton of people mention the total chaos ones so maybe I'll take a look at them.

^^^ Truth in what was stated regarding rear coils on a 5th gen always ending up higher than advertised.

I went with Wheeler's rear T-12 1.5" coils a few months back (non 3rd row 5th gen w/KDSS) and was perfect for a stock vehicle. Ended up over 2" lift with that. The 5160 shocks handled these very well.

After the rear SSO bumper, the spring just couldn't hold up the weight and constantly rode the airbumps so moved on to ICON 3" Overland coils.

ICON advertises these as almost 2" with a rear bumper and 3" without (as its a dual rate coil with the softer part collapsing with load)

Again, ended up closer to 2.75" rear lift INCLUDING the rear steel bumper with all the goodies and spare tire hanging back there. Although I haven't measured recently, I'm suspecting it settled a bit in the last few weeks. Also, this seems to be a bit too much spring for the 5160 rear shocks, and it gets quite bouncy back there..

Late reply but I got my alignment and threw on my rear lift.
Here's the specs and how it looked over the course.
Also, I think they have the ride heights reversed at the bottom there.

Thank you! Sorry for the late reply. I'm using the ToyTec Superflex coils.

Thanks! Yes, ToyTec Superflex 2" lift I believe is what it was.
The JBAs at the time felt much better than stock as far as handling. I'm still searching for another shop to do my alignment. I've messed with different clip settings so much since this past February and still need an alignment so handling isn't the best at the moment. Plus I think offset preload could be my culprit for shops never having been able to get my vehicle to track straight down the road. It was just easier to keep straight.
Had them on now for 7000 miles. No squeaks. The top portion of the silver ball joint cap has developed some rust. Tried sanding some of it away but I'll probably just spray some type of rust prevention on it to minize it.

Cool. I ended up going with Fox suspension, icon rear springs and SPC UCA’s. Rides great.
