What size tires?! Help!!

Okay, I need some help/opinions.

Yesterday, a friend of mine was trying to get rid of the 20" XD Monster wheels that he had on his Nissan Titan. He only wanted $500 for the wheels WITH the Nitto Terra Grapplers still on them. Two of the Terra Grapplers are in OK shape but the other two are worn out. I have decided that I am just going to get all new tires but am having trouble deciding on a size.

I have looked at numerous posts, pictures, etc. but still cannot come to a decision. As I said, the wheels are 20" wheels w/ a -12 offset. I want a A/T tire and have looked at 275/55-20 tires but none of them look beefy enough. I want to keep that Off-Road look and not the "street type" tire. I have looked at new Terrra Grapplers but I don't know if I want to spend that much money right now.

Any advice is appreciated.

Before you buy those wheels, you need to make sure the bore size is big enough. Factory Nissan is 78mm bore. Ours takes 106mm. Seeing that the wheels are aftermarket, you're probably ok as long as your buddy didn't buy the wheels for a Chevy. All of the bolt patterns are 6x5.5 (139.7).

Another thing to look into is that if you want the "off-road" look with 20s, you're going to have a fairly large tire diameter. You're going to run into rubbing issues unless you lift the hell out of your truck.

There's not much out there in the way of A/T that really looks aggressive outside DTs IMO. If you went with M/Ts though you could find several in that 275/55/20 range that would give you that "offroad look" you are looking for. Don't know how much they cost but there's Toyo Open Country M/Ts that a lot of people around my neighborhood run and like.
