What to use on the dash? If anything?

I was wondering how people feel about Armorall on the dash do you think it helps in any way now that the plastics are so much better then they were say 10 years ago?

I've never liked Armorall. I've always thought it was too greasy and too shiney to use on the inside surfaces. And then there are all the posts and articles that say it does more harm than good, which I really don't know how true they are. I've been using 303 Aerospace Protectant for about a year now after reading good things on here and really like it. No greasy build-up, not too shiney, and it's supposed to have UV protection. I think there are a lot of products out there that work better than Armorall.

i agree, it just keeps it looking naturally clean instead of shinny and greasy.

If you are just worried about dust on the dash you can use the California car duster thing. I bought one about 3 years ago and it still works great, it remove all the dust and lent, also works well on the console, and it doesn't leave the dash greasy. The small one thats make for interior car use is about 7 bucks if memory serves me correct.

I use 303 protectant on everything plastic, rubber and vinyl in the interior (except the floor mats and steering wheel). I use a swiffer in between treatments to clean the dust.

i use maguiers i cant spell it... but it is a spray bottle and it is for "interior dash etc".. IT IS THE BEST STUFF ever you can get it at autozone ... it cleans dust leaves the plastic dash like it was new.... what the coolest thing is about it you can use it on everything .. glass plastic rubber it cleans EVERYThing so you dont have to worry about it getting on the speedometer clear lense or glass ... it cleans it all...i will tell you i have been very impressed with meguiars products!!!

I use this stuff DP Interior Surface Protectant. I've jsut started using it, but I like it because it doesn't leave a greasy finish, but does have a UV protector to keep the plastic from cracking.

I use a Microfiber cloth (from Norwex) on all parts interior, including the windows. It does a phen job and leaves no residue and restores everything to factory conditions (not shinny, but that "mat" look).

Right now I am finishing up a bottle of Mequiar's Mirror Glaze Professional Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner and have been very happy with the results it gives on my vinyl interior parts. I do find that I have to be careful to keep the spray away from the glass.

Once that is gone, I already bought some Mequiar's NXT Generation Tech Protect Interior Protectant that I will try.

Personally, I will not use any ArmorAll products.

Believe it or not, I've been using pledge on all my vehicles for years....Lasts for months, protects and swiffer once a week is all you need. Old detailing trick.
