I kinda did a couple at once.

first was removing the running boards. Every time I stepped out and it'd been raining or I'd gone through some mud, I'd get mud all over my pant leg. Much happier now...not sure I'd consider it much of a mod as it took all of 10-15 minutes to remove the 12 bolts.

the second has been an ongoing mod...adding the nav unit from oemvalue.com...then the voice output for navigation directions...then the voice recognition microphone (thanks jeff!)...then the backup camera (which is AWESOME for backing up to a trailer!)

and of course, being a ham radio operator, I had to add some radio equipment...

What are you thinking about doing?

My first mod was a bug guard, but it was only on there for about a month and it is now just sitting in my garage. My first permanent mod was to have the front two windows tinted to match. If you are thinking about tinting at all, I know of a great place here in town. My second permanent mod was the skid plate mod.

My first mod was brighter headlight bulbs. I went with Silvania Silverstars just for the low beams and I'm running the stock bulbs on the Hi-beams and fog lights. Silverstars are a cleaner white than stock.

(I got the OBX Pedal covers and all weather floor mats in between here, but since you can get them OEM didn't really factor them in)

Second, and I don't even consider it a mod was a pair of TRD Fake carbon fibre license plate covers

3rd, bimmian interior light package

4th, Hilux Surf trashcan

5th, Sony Xplode Amp\2 10" subs

I forgot I had switched to the Silverstars. I also had the exhaust cut off and turned out to the side. I didn't like how it stuck straight out the back.

My first mod was removing the running boards - didn't even let the engine cool from the drive home from the dealership before those things got ripped off.

Second mod was the front Tacoma skid plate, which is now sitting in the garage. Its since been replaced by a Westin Safari bar and some driving lights. I'll take pictures when I get home. I'm going to design some new brackets that will allow me to use the skid plate with the Westin bar - I think that will look really cool.

First mod I make on every vehicle we own is to add a 2" convex blind-spot mirror on each of the outside rearview mirrors. They are less than $2 each and worth far more. I won't have a vehicle without them again.

After that, I did the rear differential breather mod.

Agreed! I picked up some 3" convex mirrors about a month ago. I'm not sure how I drove safely without them since January! I had them on my celica, and I just never got around to getting them for the 4R.

I saw a commercial for an Infiniti commercial and the car had that backup camera thing.. and it showed on the navigation screen [or what would be the navigation screen.. I dunno lol]. It was so cool. I want that! LoL. I probably wouldn't really need it but it looks cool.. so why not.
I'm not exactly sure what I want. There's alot I would want to do with it. But if I did it all.. it would look too over done. Soo.. I'm just trying to get some ideas right now. And I'm also finding out about how the stuff does. Like.. quality.. durability.. etc. I liked the sport bumper trim.. but I heard it breaks easy or something.. and I don't want [my parents] to spend almost $500 on something like that when it won't last.

My sister got her Mustang's windows tinted at some place in Center Point. They did a good job. My other sister had tinted windows but they got bubbly.. But I don't where she got hers done.
I'm thinking about getting my windows tinted.. where were you going to suggest getting them done?

I have had three cars done there and even had my mother's Maxima done there when she was in town for a visit. All their tint is cut on a plotter by a computer template, so the cuts are perfect. They match the front two windows to the back perfectly.

Mod #1 was the additional driver's side grab bar. #2 were the silverstars. 3rd was the rear fogs. Next is making a led based flood light for the center console that comes on when the arm rest is raised, but that's not untill I finish fixing all the stuff in the new house.

I never really liked how those made the mirror look.. Plus it would make me feel lazy if I didn't turn my head. Granted, I don't tow anything, and if i did, I see the use..

What are good prices for tinting? I don't know what would be expensive.. or what would be a good price for window tints.

I think it was about $50 or $60. It was well worth it. It would especially be worth it if you have to park outside in the sun. I work out of my house so it is always in the garage, but while I am out it is nice to have. Plus it just looks cool on black.
