What would cause a sway bar bushing to wear out after one month?

A month ago I changed my front sway bar bushings and as you can see in the picture they are already destroyed. One month! I had used stock bushings as I am only exploring logging roads and not doing any extreme off roading, but give me a break, it should last longer than one month.

Any suggestions as to why this may have worn out so quick? Both sides are toast.

Torqued too tight? Did you grease them with white lithium? Maybe the metal underneath is really rough, maybe they were crab bushings

How difficult were they to install?
If the bushing ID was too small(some models had a smaller bar than others), maybe the pressure from the bar could cause it to tear the bushing.
Do you remember which bushings you used?

No lube as these ones did not require it.

Bought at part store which I have had no problem with them in the past

When I had changed them last month I did not notice anything obvious in terms of rough surfaces on the metal however I will be sure to thoroughly check them this time.

I am stopping at the part store today to talk to them about it.

Don't even waste your time with rubber, man. Poly is where its at. A lot of the chain auto stores like autozone, oreilly, advance, etc can order them for you. You can also try Jegs, Summit Racing, Amazon, etc...

It comes with 4 end link grommets despite the fact it shows 2.
