what's the best color to compliment Jade Mica?

so my Spring Break starts tomorrow, and I haven't done ANYTHING to my new Runner yet :O

I'm planning on doing a custom color on the badges, cause I think the black is too bland (not knocking on those who have black emblems, I just want something that pops). I was going to color match the Toyota logo on the wheel caps too, but I can't decide on a color.

My favorite color is red, but that wouldn't look good i think. White maybe?

Sorry, 1996-1998 had Evergreen Metallic, 1999-2002 had Imperial Jade Mica

If its canadian its different than the american colors. If canadian it is the color Dark Teal Green Mica.

Gunmetal would look sweet. I did body color first but didnt realy like it after.

So now they are black.

He doesn't have a black truck - his is Evergreen. Gunmetal does look good with green though. Generally you keep dark rims on light colored trucks and light rims on dark vehicles, but you can go light or dark with our green Runners and it still looks great.

hmm, I think I'll do Gunmetal on the emblems. But I'm really wanting the center cap Toyota logos to be different....I think I'll do those black haha.

That's what I was thinking, red would look hot!
I think I'll do the center grill emblem first, I'll guinea pig it haha.

So, whats the best way to paint them?

I would try the Plasti-dip so if they come out not looking right you can just peel it off.
I'm not so sure how red would look on the emblems but red does work well with green thus is why I went with that color of TRD stickers which mimics the factory look on the Jade Mica Tacomas.

When I first read the post, I thought it was a lighter shade of green, like mist or seafoam green and I thought a dark red or maroon would look good. Now that I see it's a dark green, I think the red would make me think of x-mas.

I agree that gunmetal would be cool, but it's not out of the ordinary (like black) and doesn't provide that pop you are looking for.

Yellow pops.

How about a flat grey? Kind of like gunmetal I guess.

A dark red might be good, but I don't think red is going to look good if you don't have any other red accents. If you have red calipers, maybe some red trim lines, etc then it might look good.

Honestly, I don't think the "toyota', "limited", "SR5", etc badged will look good red no matter what. I think they will look weird.

Done right, I think red accents could look awesome though.

I agree with this most.

My 4Runner has gunmetal wheels, because I found it to be a great color to offset the green. I also have red Tundra calipers, red horns (that barely show, but I like that hidden look) ,red d-ring shackles, and the little red cover on the top of my FireStik II. Subtle, yet effective, accents. Nothing that shouldn't be red, IMO.

And like Nelson mentioned, the badges would look gross red. Since black also fits well, I did the badges flat black. I've got black flares, black wall tires, black rear bumper, black license plate frame, black CB antenna, black skid, and black sliders. Usually (but not always) all of those are black, but for the sake of the color balance, I mentioned it.

So really, one color doesn't really do Imperial Jade justice... IMO.
