Wheel backspacing help

Ive got a 99 4wd "highlander" edition that im in the final stages of choosing a lift for along with a new wheel and tire combo. Im doing the tundra/5100 front lift and 890/5100 rear giving me a 2 1/2 -3" lift
I want to try and avoid wheel spacers so My question is ,what backspacing will i need on a wheel to clear a 285/75r16 BFG KO2 ?
Also , i wanna confirm the lug pattern being 6x 5.5

To run a 285/75r16 tire on a 3rd gen, the sweet spot for backspacing is 4".

This will give you plenty of clearance between the tire and the UCA, and if you go with an 8" wide wheel, it will give you a stance that is 3.25" wider than stock (1.625" per side). That puts the tires ~1/2" outside of the wheel wells.

You are correct regarding the bolt pattern. It is 6 x 139.7mm or 6 x 5.5".

In making your decision regarding which wheels to run, I would also recommend that you consider whether or not you will be doing the tundra brake upgrade in the future. If you choose a wheel that does not offer sufficient brake caliper clearance then you will either be buying new wheels, or running spacers to allow for the brake upgrade should you choose to do it.

Thank you both ! Yea tundra brake updrade is at the top of my list as well. Actually the wheels i found are i believe moto 17x9. So ill be able to clear the calipers.that size opens up more assortment of tire sizes including standard and metric but still sticking with a tire no larger than 33" equivalent.

I have the equivalent to that lift. I'm running a 16x8.5 with 4.5" backspacing. The stance is perfect IMO, nothing rubs, and they clear the TBU. Check out Level 8 wheels at Discount Tire. Good deals on them, and a fee of us have them now....never seen one complaint about them.
