Wheel Center Cap Compatibility

My center caps haven't fared well. Need some new ones. The centers are not all interchangeable. My FJ Cruiser wheel centers don't fit. They are just the right size for the spot - but the clips are different so they won't attach to the Trail Edition 4runner wheels.

Anyone know what wheel center caps are interchangeable? I need to buy some on ebay to replace the broken ones.

Thanks!

Also, do you know if center caps from an SR5 will work with 285s? Or will they rub?

Thanks! I'm crossing my fingers that the SR5 centers will fit.

At $50 each from Mr. T, I'm not likely to buy new replacements. I'd probably just put the $ toward new wheels. Every other toyota wheel I've owned were interchangeable. My 1996 4runner caps would fit the 2010 FJ Cruiser wheels.

Are you referring to the plastic hub cap with the Toyota log on it between the lug nuts? I think I'm confused as to what you're asking for since your tire width would have no effect on that what so ever.

Yes. That was a joke about rubbing. It's the perpetual question that every new member asks, so it's probably been covered a few hundred times. I'm talking about the plastic hub caps. For some reason the Trail Edition wheels have a different lip on the inside so the clip mechanism isn't compatible with most other Toyota center caps. :(
