Wheel Installation Kit from Discount Tire Direct

I was looking at some wheels at discounttiredirect and during the checkout process, they tack on a wheel installation kit for $45. Is this necessary for our 4Rs? The link says something about OEM lugs not working with aftermarket wheels. Just wondering if I need to spend the extra $ or not.

Depending on the wheel, you will need a different type of lugs.
What I would do is call them and see if you can get the salesman to through it in for free.

DT threw mine in for free, it's a set of wheel locks so it was a plus for me.

I just recently switched my wheels and they had to change log nuts as well, like JMG73072 said it was only plus and they trow them for “free” for me too.:llama:
