Wheel spacers???

Hey guys looking for some advice/help. Let me start off to say that I have read previous posts and many stickies. I have a 3rd gen 4runner with an OME lift and custom bumpers which have more clearance over stock. Currently I have 265/70R16. When I wheel I have no rubbing even at full flex. I want to move up to 285/75R16 on stock rims. Is any one running this setup? Will I have any rubbing on the control arms? The more I read about wheel spacers and offset/backseat the more confused I got. Any input is appreciated thanks.

I'm running 285/75-16's on my 4runner and I do get the occasional rub on my uca's, nothing horrible, but it does happen. I've been debating on the spacers as well, I know they'll help but I hear a lot of negitives about them.

get hub centric spacers ..they are good no shaking/vibrations ..runs great .. got mine day before yesterday !!!
dont forget that it will put an added pressure on wheel bearing but nothing to worry , it does not damage them ,but do shorten the bearings life by 8-10 %
wider the spacer ,it compunds the pressure on the bearing.But overall u will enjoy !!!


im running the same setup with BFGs w/OME885/plate spacers on 5100s in front tht gives u 3"lift + ICON rear coils w /5100s gives u 2" lift
running those wheels on stock setup will rub ur UCAs !!! if u have ur T4R lifted ,its a perfect setup !!!

If you do get spacers, I recommend all-pro, their's are cheaper than spidertrax, but made out of the same stuff (not blue though) They also offer two different sizes, 1.25 in and 1.5 in. I've had mine on since february now and I havn't had any problems.

Naturally found black anodized 1 s after I bought spidertrax at 4wheel parts , check out motorsport tech , same stuff 50$ cheaper! I like black!!!

What lift do you have? Also is your rubbing occur at full flex and full lock? When on the street do you get any rubbing with the steering wheel at full lock?

I ended up going with a 32 instead of a 33inch tire. No rubbing issues. It's a nice compromise for daily driving with the gas mileage considering the amount of offloading they see. Tried the 33's and the rubbing wasn't bad very tolerable, but for me 32's work out better.

I may end up downsizing my own tires as well, although my 4Runner is not a DD (I probably drive it once a month right now)
