I got my lift installed last week and finally had some time to post some pictures.
Front: ToyTec Ultimate coilovers with Bilstein 5100s (set at 0). The ToyTec coilovers are adjustable from 1"-3". I have them set at 2". I really wanted 1.75", but the shop said they couldn't get them dailed-down any further. This is a bit disconcerting.
Rear: Wheeler's T13 coils with Bilstein 5100s with OME 10mm trim packer installed on driver's side coil to help with lean. I was hoping to get 1.25"-1.5" from these coils. In reality I got 1.75" the day I picked it up from the shop. I loaded up 3 of my buddies and took it off-roading to help the coils "settle". I am now right at 1.5" lift (maybe 1.6" if I'm being picky).
I got my FN Fx Pro wheels in the mail the same day I did the lift. I put on some 265/75/15-C BFG KO2s. I did have some rubbing in reverse at full turn to the right. I had to trim a small section of the fender/bumper (the MGM part, not the black fender liner).
I really liked the way the stock version drove, but I really, really, really like the way it drives now. There is a little nose-dive when braking really hard (imagine person in front of you slams on brakes for apparently no reason). Under normal braking, I don't notice any nose-dive. When turning, I don't feel nearly as much lean. The ride is 17.352% stiffer than stock. I wavered between 275s and 265s for a long time and ultimately went with 265s because I didn't want to kill my gas mileage or acceleration. I lost 0.4 MPG on a 2.5 hour highway drive (cruise control set at 80 MPH most of the time). I was worried about road noise from the KO2s vs the stock tires. The decibel meter on my iphone says it's 3 dB louder with the KO2s. Acceleration still feels fine. Off-road, the truck feels great, too. I don't feel like the shocks are bottoming- or topping-out and there's plenty of flex.
Overall, I got more lift than I really wanted. My old 4Runner had a 3" front, 2" rear lift and my wife made me sell it because she was tired of climbing in and jumping out. I thought I could pull a fast one on her by installing a very mild lift of 1.75" front, 1.25" rear... but that didn't work. She noticed the difference but has conceded that it's not that bad. I like the way it looks, although some may argue that the wheel wells look a little empty with the 265s (vs 275s).
