Looking like a good group is getting together, the more the marrier is that the saying. Hopefully we can get some more people to go. I watched some youtube videos and we should do fine there. It is also good that we have stock 4runners to highly modified going.

All right, Alex, count me in, but be forewarned: I'm driving a box stock '07 Sport with STREET tires, Yokohama Geolander HS-Ts (?), "H" being code for "Highway!" These tires aren't even all-terrains! Ack! What am I doing?

You asked someone else if he'd ever been to the Pine Barrens before; Alex, I've never even been to New Jersey before! I'm going to invest in a couple of snatch straps and a good pair of boots, and some rubber floor mats before i show up. Here's hoping the other 'wheelers don't get tired of pulling me out of the primordial ooze time after time.

Don't worry we also have someone going bone stock, but what I like about our group that we have trucks from stock to highly modified. Plus I'm bringing ropes too as I'm sure others, there will be no problem pulling you out. You mention you never been to NJ where you coming from?

My wife is afraid of all this stuff but she wants to go for support. But if no one bringing their significant others I think she will happy to stay home.

....I think you should bring her. I'm certain she'll find the experience an eye-opener, and might just be more understanding the next time you want to drop big bucks on suspension mods, or whatever. JMPO

Silver Spring, MD. I was just kidding about having never been, but all I've done is pass through it on my way north. Greatly looking forward to this learning experience. I ordered a bull bar, which just arrived, but after having read that they actually take up an inch or so of ground clearance, and are too flimsy to do any pushing or towing with, I think I'm going to send it back. It's also my understanding that the installation of the bull bar means you have to remove the front tow hooks, or at least that they're no longer accessible. Any opinions?

Bull bars are mostly cosmetic. Yeah, they hurt the approach angle a little but from my experience, it guards the plastic bumper cover a little bit if you were going to take a nose dive into the ground. Bone stock 4Runners are extremely capable trucks, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised by your truck's performance. I actually never wheeled mine when I had it lifted, only stock.

Lets meet at the restaurant by 10/10;30 so we can great and meet and then drive to the trail, cause it is only 7 minutes away from the meeting spot. who done it, as i looked at map direction it is only an hour drive from Buck County PA to the restaurant. We can meet probably by 8;30/8;45 and then drive up there. I think someone else is coming from that area too.

U are more then welcome to come if of course you can justify the reason for trip. One person is coming from Boston area it is is like 5 hour drive. Maybe you can bring your significant other with you and then no questions will be asked. LOL

Sound good! AC is close, just make sure AC is accessible, which i think they will, but who knows, they took a hard hit from Sandy too and maybe reserve something in advance.
