When will the Bilstein 6112 be released?

It's been a long wait but finally got mine installed tonight. Went with the 3rd setting and a daystar 1.5 in spacer in the rear. So far so good. It rides so much better than stock.

I am currently running 285/70/17 Goodyear duratracs with the daystar spacers (2.5/1.5). I am going to add some 5100's and Icon 52700 springs in the back.

From ur post it seems as though the front on the 3rd setting combined with the rear spacer leaves a slight rake. So, on the 4th setting this should eliminate your rake ?

In my case would you recommend the 4th setting to give a slight rake with the 2" Icon coils? I'd prefer to have these set perfectly from the beginning and not require a second break down.

This is it, we are seeing about .4-.5 more than the stated lift height on the top settings.

Well it's been a great day today....

Got stuff on the way as stated above and picked up these little goodies from my local Toy Dealer for my 6112's ....... :reddance:

I have the top plates. Are there additional parts that I need? I would think Bilstein would include the top strut bolt, bushings.

For those that have installed these what parts do I need other then the top plates & the stud bolts that attach to the top plates?

The top plates I ordered did not include the rubber isolators. I'm assuming I still need those as I don't expect Bilstein to supply these?

From what I can tell the Coil spring isolator aftermarket part # that can be utilized is 9.6104 for a bit over $12 for the pair and the aftermarket top plate part # is 907922 for around $16 each through Rockauto. So, look to spend about $125 combined for a combination of aftermarket & OEM items to assemble these.

OEM: 4) 90948-01100 Shock Cushions, 2) 90948-02205 Lower Cushion Retainers, 2) 90948-A2003 Upper Cushion Retainers
Non OEM: 2) Monroe 907922 strut mount stud plate (comes with flange nuts) 1) Energy coil spring isolators 9.6104 (two in a pack)

Still waiting for my 5160's to install the 6112/5160's. Has anyone research on whether or not Toyota will void the warranty if the 6112's are installed at the 2nd notch, which is comparable to the TRD Pro suspension?

I caled a few dealerships and only heard back from one and they were "unofficially" certain that it WOULD void my Toyota extended 100k mi warranty if I were to "lift" my 4R.

Anyone have any experiences or concerns with adding a "modest" lift, i.e., second notch, roughly 1" front end lift and keeping the extended warranty?

Technically, the dealer will need to prove that the lift caused the failure of the warrantee item. However, if they want to be dicks they can deny warranty work & force you to hire a lawyer or head to someone above their heads.

Given that they are already presenting possible issues to you I would suspect that they would attempt to void your warranty claims. It basically comes down to your dealer and how much work they want to do & get reimbursed through Toyota for.

Depends on the dealer. We sell a lot of these kits to dealers, or ship them to dealers to have them installed for customers so there are a lot of mod friendly ones out there. Bought this 2015 Trail new about a month ago. Have done a few mods so far. Just installed Bilstein 6112 yesterday. Getting an alignment tomorrow. 3 setting from bottom. Waiting on my Bilstein 5160 and then I will just run rear stock springs with AirLift bags

On the 6112's installation is there a rubber bushing that goes on top of the mount plate & another on the bottom? I have two rubber bushings and the two coil spring isolators. It's difficult to tell by the pics in this thread the assembly pattern.

The parts diagram only shows one bushing for the top and then a metal washer on the bottom.

So, there isn't another bushing that the shock rod passes through & then pushes against the underside of the top plate? Only a washer..... The diagrams make it look this way.

The lower washer says "cushion retainer". So, I'd imagine there is a second bushing. Does anyone know if it's identical to the top bushing or does it have a small lip/raised nipple on it? Examples below.....

I guess that is what I get for buying new top plates that are non oem. The top plates I ordered only came with the flange nuts. So, the washers, bushings and isolators had to be ordered separately. The diagram made me think there was only one bushing on top.
