Where are used superchargers coming from?

I found one on car-part.com, some on fleabay but not anywhere else. The fleabay prices seem kind of steep for a used SC'r.

Horse power is expensive. if you get a good deal jump on it. They show up once in a while.

I'd assume it's people ho luck into them at junkyards. And shops that buy cores and rebuild them and then resell them on.

And... yeah. Every once in a while I troll eBay and see them, and I'm a bit tempted.

I bought mine off a guy local who bought one new from Magnuson, then needed the money.
There is a decent facebook group for the 3.4l Superchargers too.

I have found a new one for 3 large, but that's still too much for me. At least, now it is.

I search multiple clists and sometimes ebay. I refuse to use social media so I'll never find one on FB.

The prices seems kinda high for the most part. I'm not willing to spend 3 grand for new, but also no way will I spend ~2 grand for used.

I'll keep looking....

just saw one on CL in Denver for $1800 4 hours later the post was edited and it's $2400
guess it wasn't selling fast enough so he raised the price, if i keep saying it it will make sense.

At the prices these are going for, I am very tempted to snag up a Series III Gen V SC'r from the later model GM 3800s and remote mounting that. More boost. Had one in my 87 Fiero GT and do I miss that sound!
