Where can I find 1990 gold rear decal for my 4runner?

I'm looking for the rear GOLD emblem for my 1999 Toyota 4runner. I need to replace it. All I can seem to find now is Chrome or Black. I want the original Gold. Can anyone help?

Well, the gold package was only a dealer add on. Thats the only place I would think to look for an original. Otherwise, you could pick up a gold leaf kit for probably less than $10. I have the gold package too, and my emblems are mostly faded. I assume yours are too. Sorry I dont have a better answer.

I've seen a few on Ebay at times. Depending on which exact emblem you are looking for.

The gold was done by taking CHROME emblems and using a special plating process. It was a US add on, either at the port or by the selling dealer. There are companies out there that can do it. 20 years ago there was a company out Missouri called US Dent that did it, or they sold the equipment to do it. Anyway if I could remember the name of the process, you could google it. Don't think it was Roto plating. Now I must know...

Far As I'm concerned they are a dealer option, I stopped by my local toyota to try and pick some up they said it would cost 15 an emblem so instead I took my emblems off and used a plastidip spray, I'm positive you can get the look you want if not even better with the dip. A company that still does it is out of Texas. Not sure if they sell retail or not, but they are a supply house for the dealerships on this item.
