Where can I tap into to get tranny temp?

I like this gauge :

However, it has a 1/8 NPT thread for the transducer. Any suggestions on how to make this work? Just installed a tranny cooler to bypass the radiator. Sort of hoping that there is a barbed inline adapter out there somewhere. I don't want to have to weld a port on the tranny pan.

My F250 has a nifty access port built into the side of the tranny case. Too easy. :biggrin2:

What year is your runner? If it is a newer 3rd gen (99 and up I think, not sure) you can read the temp. with a Scangauge.

get a T and put it in the send line to the cooler.

get on mcmaster car or go to a local plumbing store

Read through my build thread, I posted up mine. Ran an inline "T" on the line going to the cooler.
