I'm pretty sure I'm going to forget to turn it off when I get out of the car. Ideally I'd like it to reset each time the ignition is turned off.
Hold button.
Turn key to turn truck on.
Release button.
Drive.
Turn truck off.
Kill switch resets itself.

Not the way [MENTION=44978]kball[/MENTION] does it, but you can easily wire a normally open push button into the park/neutral or clutch switch circuit that would do this by opening the starter motor circuit. A fuel pump kill would require a more complicated switch that would reopen on ignition off, which is possible, but I can't think of an easy way to do it off the top of my head. I'd have to build it.

I looked around. This module resets to original state when power is restored after a cut. Other latching relays I saw were stable unless triggered which would really not be useful. This should be relatively straight forward. You can use the button on the panel or wire an external, which is what you should do. Put the panel out of the way and the pushbutton in a stealth location.
Just don't ask me to tell you how to wire this over the internet. I'd have to be hands on. But it looks to be straightforward. However, I haven't done it so no guarantees. It would go, turn key to ignition on, push and release button, start truck. You could still restart truck without button until ignition is turned off, say in case of a stall. When key is turned off and then on again relay resets and you need to push button to start.

Wire 12V key-on to VCC. Chassis ground to the GND next to it. Put momentary switch between R/S and the GND on the left side bottom. Put [MENTION=44978]kball[/MENTION] 's pump wires to NO1 and C1. Done.

Hypothetically speaking, if one were to install this setup. Would the momentary switch have to be pressed and held down until the key is turned to the battery position? Just trying to think it through. The relay can only be active if the momentary switch is pressed right? I really need to install a kill switch. Im trying to think of creative ways to hide it. Nice diagram. Now your brother should put his designs to the test and install one

Yes, at least that's all I did. I didn't even use the right kind of switch. I used an AC switch not DC but since you aren't "switching it" while there's power to it, there's no chance of arcing.
Do you have to have the switch ON always while driving ? Or is it a push hold and start the car style ?

It's on all the time when I want it to run. In the off position, no power gets to the pump.
