Where do you have your maintenance & repairs done? - Dealer rant

I'm assuming you guys can get to the back of the front driveshaft (tcase side). Us fancier Limited (read AWD) guys can't rotate the driveshaft without rolling the vehicle. And the shrockworks skids don't help either.

:jk: Great point, I didn't even think about how you AWD guys would spin the drive shaft. I remember telling myself how it was such a pain to have to jack up the rear axle just so I could spin the drive shaft (to reach the zerks). I guess for you it would be 2x the pain, lol.

Well, my experience with Dublin Toyota in the Bay Area just gets better and better. My service advisor just gave me a call. The same service advisor who quickly made a point of clarifying that he didn't work on the car so i need to give him a good review in the survey. The guy that said this right after he saw and acknowledged the damage that was done....

Anyway, he just called and was evidently pissed off because "he doesn't understand why i didn't give 100% score on the survey". He reminded me that he didn't work on the car, and the survey is a reflection of him. I was fair I told him, i gave him an "average" score in all the questions regarding the service advisor, but rated the other dealership and service questions as "unacceptable". I told him I did this because he was average and the work was unacceptable. I can't believe he called me to complain to me directly.....

Wow, this really re-instills my decision to not return. My purchasing experience was pretty good, but I recommend others stay away from using the service department.

Hey CaliTE, have you tried that new Toyota dealer just off the freeway in Livermore?

I drive past it nearly every day and just thought it would be convenient if I ever need some warranty work done. But have not been there yet.

As I stated in an earlier post, the only maintenance that I have done at a dealer was my transmission fluid change at Modesto. I was happy with the service, but that was just one time for the 4Runner.

I recently purchased a used 2012 Avalon for my wife and took it to Modesto Toyota to have a second key made and programed. I was perfectly happy with their service on that too.

But that new dealer in Livermore would be right on my way to and from the bay area. Drop it off in the morning, rent a car for the day and pick it up in the evening. (if they are any good)

I've been to Dublin Toyota for a service before and wasn't pleased at all, and since then have seen a ton of bad reviews for their sales and service department. I remember seeing there Yelp reviews and it was pretty bad, and when I just went on tonight to check it out again Yelp has a warning that a bunch of positive reviews were made by the same IP address.

Dublin Toyota Scion - Dublin, CA

I've been thinking about getting a 2014 and will probably try Putnam even though it's way further from where I live.
