Where does this wire go?

Gentlemen,

I'm putting a new carpet in my 1st gen, and came across this lonely red wire to nowhere. It's coming off the window switch harness.

Can someone tell me where it goes? Thanks in advance.

No sir. Not is this particular truck anyway.

I would check to make sure. It could be a power wire to a switch that was not installed at the factory based on whatever options the 4Runner came with. I know I have a few blanked out spots in the center console area. If I remember correctly I used one of them to power my CB.

When you follow it back is it part of the factory harness or does it look like someone spliced it in?

To be honest, it looks OEM. However, there is clear evidence that a CB was installed in the truck at some point. You may be on to something.
