Where in the world is my PCV Valve?? [3VZ-E]

I've got a 1990 4Runner V6 and just bought a PCV valve. But I can't find the sucker on my truck to replace it! Where the hell is that thing? haha I've been looking for 2 days now... somebody throw me a bone!

Ok, I found the damb thing... its on the passenger side valve cover... UNDER THE INTAKE MANIFOLD!!! :bash: What a crappy place to put that thing!

It's only barely possible to reach under there and get your fingers on it... theres a ton of vacuum lines in the way. And the EGR has a big metal tube in the way. Oh yeah, and there's a support crossbar that holds up the intake manifold... and it's right in the way.

I'll post some pics shortly so you can see what I'm talking about.

How in the world am I supposed to pull that PCV out?? Anybody got a pair of pliers about 2 feet long??

egr valve "found it"

yeah i found and i think they brain-farted when they desidned it .
pass side valve cover closer to the firewall under a intakes.here is what i did to make my next change easier. i bought some heavy duty stainless braided plumbing water supply hose 12inches long and cut off ends ,clamped pcv to one end real tight put a thin screwdriver into other end to guide it into valve cover.to remove it just pull it out .hoe that helps

The 3VZE is the most poorly designed motor I have ever owned, I cant believe Toyota put that thing in their vehicles, they must have let a junior designer have free reign on it and this is what he came up with.
