Where is charcoal canister location on 1998 4runner?

Hi,

Truck threw a CEL a day or two ago. Went to Checker and code threw P0446.

I'm trying to find the problem. I know one thing to check is the charcoal canister but I can't find it. I think it's in the engine bay on my 1998 4runner. Anyone have picture of this thing? Also, anything else I should check out? I'm thinking about going back to checker and having them erase the code to find out how soon it comes back or if it throws a different code.

Am I the only one who has no idea what a "charcoal cannister" is or what purpose it serves in a V6 engine?

Next to the fusebox under the hood.

It basically traps vapors from your fuel. If you park your hot car, your now warmer than usual fuel is letting out a lot of toxic vapors. The charcoal canister basically bottles them up so your garage doesn't end up blowing up. The fuel will just get used later when you start your car.

What's the maintenance on these things? Just wait for CEL?
