Where to find Canadian 03-05 Hood Protector

I've searched a bunch of threads, but can't seem to find a Toyota part number, or a place to buy the Canadian Hood Protector. Some threads list a dealer that carried a similar product (Focus), Carson I believe, but they didn't offer the OEM version on their site, and the aftermarket version that looked similar was from a company that has since gone out of business. I have a friend at a local Yota dealer, and if I could even find the part number, he could try and hunt it down for me. I have read thread after thread, but keep coming up empty. Also, I would love to see a pic on the 03-05 installed if someone has one. Thanks

Are you talking about the one that says "Form Fit" on the side? Or does it look like this? I covered the "Form Fit" logo with a TRD sticker. :biggrin2:

I'm not sure. Argh. I've seen a few pics of hood guards for the 4th gen, and think i like the "Canadian version" best, but am confused as to its origin. I think I've gathered that what people are calling the "Canadian version" is an OEM Toyota part, available only in Canada. One thread had a link to this part made by "Focus", but I don't like the look of it, and was told the company had since gone out of business anyway. (Carson Toyota TRD Parts, Replacement parts and accessories for Southern California)

This is the one I like, but haven't confirmed its a OEM part, gotten a part number for the 03-05 style, or found where to get it! Is this a "Form Fit"? Is that the brand? i like the one on the Maroon 4r because it leaves the grill exposed, and just covers the hood edge.

The 07 is definately from Form Fit. The one from Carson Toyota maybe from Form Fit. But for $100K for a bug deflector is a rip-off.

OK, I just googled "form fit" and it came back to the "focus auto" website, the brand that I was told went out of business. So is this the "Canadian version" that people are talking about then? Or is the "Focus/Form Fit" an aftermarket brand that made a cheaper knockoff replica of the OEM Toyota Canada version - similar to a Lund? If thats the case, my search is over. If not, then I'm still hunting for the illusive "Canadian" OEM guard. Sorry to ask so many questions - thanks for you help.

Thanks! I thought you knew how a Canadian version looked like that's why i asked if mine was a Canadian version with the "Form Fit" logo. Anywayz, does it have to be Canadian? Why not the Form Fit deflector?

I'm tryin to find out if the "Canadian" version is the "focus form fit", or another unit altogether. I know the Canada version is known to be longer, and covers the gap between the grill and headlights. I like the way the guard on the maroon truck doesn't cover the grill, just the painted part. Yours covers the top bar on your grill, and thus is bigger.

I don't have a top bar like the '06-'09s. If you look closer (see thru deflector), that's the tip of my hood.

Where were you the last year. I've had an extra sitting in my garage taking up space. Tried selling it with no luck, even had a hard time trying to give it away. Saw a 4Runner driving down my street (rare in my area) last month, ran out and stopped the lady. After a little coaxing she reluctantly took it. I gave it away.
