Where to spare?

For those without cargo racks up top that can support your spare tire, do you leave yours under the car when you offroad? Or do you throw it in the cargo area?

I thought about putting mine in the back, but it raises the question of where to put other things, such as a cooler, and how to secure everything properly (especially with a weathertech cargo mat covering the tiedowns)?

Thoughts on spare tire placement and how to secure cargo?

You can go with a removable tire carrier or a full rear bumper replacement with swing outs.
