which direction to unscrew the two rotor bolts on each side of the front brake?

Hello Everyone; Please help me!

i am trying to remove the front rotor but the two bolts are so hard to remove, question?

* on the passenger rotor side, do i turn the bolt clockwise or unclockwise to UNSCREW it?

* on the driver side, which way do i unscrew the bolts?

i have been trying for couple hours on each bolt and nothing moved, i also damaged on of the 17mm socket too.

Please help, thanks so much

I thought they were standard threads -- clockwise to tighten, counterclockwise to loosen.

In that size range you should be using a 1/2" drive socket.

For a really tight bolt use a 6pt socket with a breaker bar.

And yes they are standard threads, so the above applies. I remember the exact bolts you are talking about when I changed my pads. I had a cheap socket set and broke 2 sockets before I got them loose. I now have invested in better tools.
