Which TransGo Shift Kit? SK-340 or 340-HD2

Hello everyone I have a 99 Limited Supercharged. About to do a tranny flush and install my B&M tranny cooler. For TransGo users which kit do I need? Which kit are you using? Here is the link to the TransGo description. Thanks in advance!

I'm just looking for some insurance for my tranny. Don't need any race or drag strip applications. I've been SC'd for almost 10 years now and haven't had any problems. Have 125K on the truck. I also found this link on shimming the accumulators SCRunner12 it may interest you.

It's a good and worth it kit, especially if you plan on running an SC, it's a pretty straightforwardly written instruction manual.

Why are you completely flushing your transmission? Do you feel it needs it or is it having problems? Often times, just a drain and fill will be good. Some manufactures even promote fluid changes. However a failing transmission may not show signs of failing (other than maybe in the fluid). If you flush a failing transmission chances are it will fall on it's face. These transmissions aren't known for going out or failing, I'm just making a general statement.

Give this a good read. Especially the last paragraph...

Gave that article a read and I see the concern. Maybe I chose the wrong word. I will not be "flushing" the tranny with a machine, cleaner, or solvent. I will just be doing a fluid change. Since I have to pull the tranny pan to install the transgo kit I will be changing the A/T filter and fluid while im there.

Any comments on which one of the 2 kits I need? Thanks again...

I bought a 340-hd2 for my 2000, had it set up for the street. Best mod ever, well next to the turbo

You need the HD2, if you read the description on their site the "SK" version is only to "fix" some known issues with some versions of the trannys.

I bought the HD2 and have yet to install it.

Any review from this install? I am looking to get a Transgo kit as an early Christmas present to myself. Would you do it again? Anything you would do while you are in there?
