Which wheels for my 315/70/17

Just scored some Mickey Thompson " deegan 38" 315/70/17
And I'm looking for suggestions for what wheels to get.

I have picked up some sr5 5th gen wheels that are 17x7 but Ive heard mixed reviews about mounting a 12.8 wide tire on a 7 inch wide rim.

Was thinking about the FN 5 stars but they stopped making the 17" version it looks like. Also thought about maybe picking up some scs wheels but they are so expensive.

Any suggestions are welcome & thanks in advance.

Just got 16" FN Five stars and couldn't be happier, when I was talking to them I had the option of 16's or 17's, so I assume they still make 17"

what backspacing are you planning on running? looking at 35s and i have 4.75 i think ill need to run my 1.25" spacers

Yeah man i tried to take my 17X7 sr5 5th gen wheels to get mounted up with the 315/70/17s and discount tire wouldnt even do it. said the rim is too skinny & needed to be at least 7.5".

I think im going to take it to a smaller shop & may stop by 4wheelparts to pick up some spacers along the way just in case. I'll probably run that setup until SCS has some decent wheels in stock unless i come across something better.

17x8.5 5-Star, -6mm offset and 4.5" backspacing. Perfect for 315/70/17 tires.

I highly recommend these wheels, and FN wheels is a great company to work with.

sorry to thread jack but mine are 17x9 4.75" Bs and -6mm offset do you think i can clear everything without spacers or should i pick up some 1/4" spacers? I'm going to be running light racing uca's if that matters. sorry I'm trying to figure everything out before i get it mounted.

4.75" BS is normally too much, but with a 9" wide wheel the sidewall won't be pushed out as much. Hard to say, but I would get a set of 1/4" spacer as a backup.

Thanks dude - I went looking for those wheels after seeing how great they looked on your truck. Glad to know they still make them. I sent them an email hopefully they reach out soon. I want to get these things mounted!
