Whoops, possible Blue Sea wiring miss

Just realized while reading the another thread I may have wired my aux fuse box wrong. Used 4gauge wire from the blue sea directly to the battery with a big fuse or a re-setable breaker.
So is this a major f-up?
Ordering one of these to run between the fuse block and battery.

Should I be ok to drive it like this for a week?

How long is the wire? How much of a chance of it grounding to the body?

I don't agree with needing a breaker. As long as the fuse box is near the battery and all circuits are properly fused I don't think you're going to melt a 4 gauge wire.

Run is less than 12 inches, unless I get in an crash and fold the front end, should ground it out.

OLD rule of thumb in car audio was 18" IIRC. I wouldn't worry about a 12" run unless it runs in a pretty dangerous location that might be prone to grounding out in an accident or rubbing through on rough roads.
