Who's Lovin' the East Coast Snow?

Everyone in Annapolis thinks it is their right and duty to go cruising around in their Escalade or Range Rover right after the snow storm. Unfortunately they have better trucks than the city plows, which all seem to be V-6 pickups.

On the way home from work I stopped on a fairly steep, snow covered hill to let a city plow clear an intersection. I bet the plow driver (a Ford F250) thought I was NUTS for stopping. Needless to say the 4Runner had no trouble getting moving again once the plow was done.

So Mtn.Rush, if your son has trouble getting to sleep tonight does that mean you and he will be taking an evening ride in the snow?::

Well, we are finally getting a halfway decent snow storm here in NY. It should be a little more than a foot by the time it's done. This picture was taken earlier today at about 8 inches. The best thing about owning a 4Runner is not having to shovel out. Just put 'er in 4wd and you can plow through almost anything. When I got home tonight, the snow plows left a pile of snow about 3 feet high at the end of my driveway. No problems driving right through it!

LOL, One can only wish. My son is a great sleeper when it comes to bed time, so I may just being flying solo tonight....a big maybe at that as I have some nice Guinness, a couple of frozen mugs and a scorching fire going now. As I am sitting on the couch listining to the snow and wind blowing around I am getting ever lazier by the second. :cheers:

but of course, loving the pics with the runners in the snow.... make sure to take pics of any of you pulling people out too

I Had No idea.......

Well we got another 6"-8" since last post total about 14". And I just got back from driving around and playing. I had no idea that the new 4Runner TE was such an awesome truck. I've had 4x4's all my life and I think this might just be the most capable one I've ever owned,it's crazy. Deep snow, huge hills, just drive. So solid and secure. I was trying to get stuck, and couldn't do it. And did I mention the JBL stereo? Might just be the best stock stereo. I should have bought a 4Runner a long time ago.....

This morning from about 6:45 AM to 6:47 AM it snowed about 20 flakes and quit. So, no snow in Atlanta. Really great pictures you all have of the snow.

LOL.. I'm sure it caused mass panic somewhere around there.

In the middle of the blizzard yesterday, I went to WalMart because I was bored, and I ran out of thread (working on a quilt). I had a lot of fun driving in the snow. It was slicker than a gravy sandwich, but the 4R performed quite well.

People, blizzards are the best time to go to Wal Mart. NOBODY was there. It was awesome.

Wow, that's a lot of snow. I had no idea anyone got near that amount. We only ended up with 13" from this storm. That's the offical total on the news last night. Oh well, winter is not over yet.

I am Loving it.

The snow stopped late last night and it was fun. I can count on one hand how many people were on the road and 3 was the magic number . I took some pics this morning to give you a look. My dog is out in the snow playing in it too. 15years old and still going. The dog I mean!!:driving:
