LX470s all have AHC (auto height control). My '06 needed an accumulator repaired, to the tune of $2000 installed. That was just one of three onboard. No thanks.
Did this for my stepdad. At my discount (no labor for him) 4 accumulator pods and 2 pints special Toyota AHC Fluid cost him close to $2500. The job is easily in the $4k+ range with labor and customer priced parts and it has to be done with a scantool (usually the accumulators start to fail close to each other from what I learned.) That's the "common" failure of the AHC system. Not to mention Toyota is finicky about letting you stay in anything but normal height for too long.
