Will 305/70R17 MTRs fit with no BL with my mods?

Merry Christmas, 4th Geners!
I want to know if Goodyears 305/70R17 (34.1") MTRs will fit on my vehicle with the mods I have and will about to do. I don't mind minor rubbing on some plastic but any rubbing on the frame that eats up the tire won't suffice.

I will not be doing a bodylift! Finally, after 7 years and inspiration from Darknight's build, I'm about to start a significant build. I have 17" SCS wheels. Body mount chop, BJ UCA, front diff mount reinforced, spindle gussets and sliders just completed/installed. Full skids, suspension (extended front & LT in rear) have arrived. Also, installed 4.56 & lockers just go back from Zuk - gearinstalls.com.
Toyota clamshell harrop elocker 456 thick gears

I ordered front and rear bumpers a month ago so they should arrive within a month or so. I will also be hammering down the front pinch welds.

If not, I believe the BFG 34x10.5R17 KO2 (33.5"), with it being a bit shorter and narrower, would fit without a BL.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Wow your really going in! and your on! Sounds like your on the right track. I am running that exact tire set up, but unfortunetaly i don't think you will be able to run that size tire (at least a MT tire) with your set up. I have my front CO's set to about 3"-3.25" plus a 1" BL and i still rub sometimes at full lock depending on how my truck is flexing out, even worse in reverse! That's also with a BM chop, pinch welds cut and bashed in. I am running spider tracks spacers which is probably making it rub a little worse but it still rubbed a little before i put them back on. I would imagine with out any BL at all it would rub like crazy! Oh also i bought my tires with 6k miles on them already so they didn't have 100% tread.

From all the research i did on this subject a 1" is the minimum BL you can do to run a 35" tire which is what i plan on going up to after these which i'm sure will require a little more work!

Why don't you want to run a small 1" or 1.25" BL ?

Thanks for the reply. It took a awhile for any reply, I thought I may have posted in the wrong section, must be because of the holidays!

Yeah, It's been a long wait for this build. A couple friends, one with a 1st gen Tundra and a another with a GX470, kickstarted my build. The GX got his lift and bumpers and wants to go to the May 2-7 TLCA event. He also will be getting his gears and Harrops installed in a few weeks by Zuk.

I don't want to do the BL because both the bumpers wil have the BL gap to the body.

I went with 4x4 Labs bumpers - front and rear. The owner - Luke, said they just made a prototype and began production. I haven't even seen pictures of it, but I was told it's based off their 5th gen design.

Before your BL, was the rubbing that you experienced only on the lower area of the plastic fender flares? Do you think that rubbing would cause tire damage, in the long term?

We (Tundra owner & I) put in the rear diff this morning and it went in pretty smooth, also changed both axel seals and O-rings. It wasn't leaking out, but It seemed the driver side seal was allowing diff fluid past the seal and mixing with the bearing grease. I've been wanting to make a video and/or pictures for the build but it's tough to stop what you're doing to take a pic!

Of course man,, I think a lot of guys on the forum get frustrated because a majority of people don't bother to search the forum to find the answer when similar or the same questions have been asked and answered before. Although the search function doesn't always work the best it's usually better to google and then it will usually bring you to the specific thread on here anyways.

Sorry for the late reply I haven't really been on here the last few weeks.

Keep in mind you want a little bit of a gap in between your bumper and the body at least 1"- 2" i would say to allow for flew especially if your going to be wheeling it, which by the looks of your build list I assume you you will be. If no=t and their too close to the body you can easily pop and bend fenders up.

I have a rear 4x4 labs bumper and love it! I just built it this past year and think it's the best and most functional out of the rear bumper offered for our rigs IMO. Luke does great work! I've seen a pic of the front and it looks pretty sick! Can't wait to see it mounted up on your truck.

Actually I had a 1/2" BL to begin with,, IDK if I mentioned that? I tend to forget sometimes because I've don't so much. But yes the rubbing was rubbing was one the plastic fenders but more so predominantly on the BM and yes I could see in certain situations it could create some damage to the tire in the long term.

I know that the problem I always run into. I never remember to stop and take pics, it's hard while your in the process. Look forward to seeing everything come together!

4x4Labs must not build a bumper that compensates for a body lift? My stock bumper fits with no gap on my 1.5" body lift but I just bolted it on a set of holes higher. Most bumper manufactures have slotted hole mounts to allow maybe 1/2" of up and down mounting which probably wouldn't look bad with up to a 1" BL.

There are a few with 35's and no body lift so you should be fine with the 34's. You'll just need to trim some more.
