wonder how this would be on a LE cause the front/rear points are buried up higher than the fragile bodywork.
I have a hitch shackle for the winter time but no where to connect to in the front if I need to help someone without using the backside of the 4runner.
Little bit of a tangent, just for the sake of discussion:
If at all possible, pulling from the rear (in the case of your recovery of another vehicle) is preferable to pulling from the front of your truck in reverse.
Pulling in reverse puts additional load on the relatively weak front axle assemblies and the high pinion ring and pinion gear is also not as strong in reverse.
Obviously a light pull is likely not to be an issue, but it's still wise to pull from the rear, relying on the stronger back axle, if practical.
