Will Airlift 1000 work with rear spacer?

My future plan is to lift my truck with either OME trim packers or a Cornfed spacer in the rear, but I'm also planning to install the Airlift system prior to that because I tow a boat in the summer.

My understanding of the system is that the cone bump stop in the rear must be modified to install the airbag. If I cut the cone, I'm worried that I won't be able to install a spacer or trim packer in the future, so ultimately I have 2 questions:

1) Does a spacer/trim packer sit above the bump stop, or between the bumpstop and the spring?
2) Will installing the Airlift now be compatible with doing a future spacer install?

I added the Airlift 1000 to my 13 ltd. The cone has to be removed per instructions. The bags really help my towing - max weight... 23 foot boat.
