Will this lift kit work for my 4runner?

I'm nearing closer on my decision on lifting my 4runner. I have a 06 with 4WD.
Will this lift kit work?

Toyota FJ Cruiser Suspension Lift

If not I'd like some advice on whether I should get the cornfed or the daystar lift. I dont want to spend more then 400 for the lift and I dont want to have to get new shocks.

The RC kit will "probably" work, but if that was the case...don't you think they would have said so? There are many more T4R's on the road and they would be making a whole lot more $$$.

The Cornfed and Daystar are definitely proven cost effective and reliable. Great choice for your budget.

It should work, it's just spacers and a lot of members run spacers and shocks made for FJCs. The bilsteins I run were originally only listed for FJCs (and the fronts for tacomas as well) but now the bilstein site lists the 4runner as an application as well.

More likely than not it's listed as for the FJC because it includes rear shocks tuned for the FJC weight distribution.

With the exception of members of this and another website there are not nearly as many people lifting 4th gen 4runners compared with FJCs, despite there being more 4Rs on the road. That's why there are so many more aftermarket options for FJCs, I'm just happy the suspension stuff transfers over because that makes it cheaper and more readily available.

edit: that being said, I agree with steviet4r to go with cornfed or daystar, as they're more reliable

Material wise, I believe cornfed is made of aluminum where as Daystar is a hard rubber/plastic compound.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but cornfed has more height options than daystar does...

thats correct but aluminum can squeek overtime, daystar is quality poly spacers that wont deform over time like other poly spacers. id go daystar because of their customer support, and because its black, which will not look stupid like the cornfed silver spacer.

I have the DS 2.5/1.5 kit and like it very much. I got it on amazon for $143 shipped. Installed myself. I have pics with stock tires, and 285/75r16 mt's if u wanna see, or u can search my posts

As for Daystar customer service, I'm not impressed. It has been proven time and time again that we get twice the spacer thickness for lift. Call them up and ask them how much lift their 1" thick budget boost kit provides. They'll argue all day long saying it's only one inch lift, but anyone who has installed it will tell you they got ~2". You'd think they would have actually installed the spacer and tested in, making measurements.

As far as I'm aware, any spacer kit will work with XREAS (regardless if it's a preload or topout). I could be wrong, but best I can recall they'll work.
