Winch Recommendations

Wanted to see what everybody recommends when it comes to getting a winch and what they use. Currently waiting on the SSO Hybrid Bumper and looking at getting the winch while I'm waiting for it to arrive. Would Greatly appreciate it!

I recently looked at several different winches including Warn, Come UP, Mile Marker and Smittybuilt. I almost pulled the trigger on a Come Up 9.5rsi but ended up going with the Warn ZEON 10-S for the better warranty and customer service. Mine will be mounted on a hidden winch mount on my 2016 Limited and I probably would have gone slightly larger (12K) if I were doing a full bumper. The Warn site says 1.5 x GVRW so I'd probably go with a 'just in case' 12K winch with a full bumper assuming it fits without issue. I prefer the synthetic rope and also purchased the Factor55 ProLink to replace the hook.

I was originally thinking I would be getting a TJM since they come with synthetic rope without extra cost for that, but I am leaning more towards a WARN as derryck chose. TJM is also much less expensive, but that may come at a price later on. May be worth a look at though.

Bought a smitty x20
Was about to unbox
Thought about how bad it'd suck to have it fail in the middle of nowhere
Returned
Ponied up another 300
Installed the warn m8000s
Buy once, cry once

I recently installed an SSO with a Warn Zeon 10-s. It was a tight fit and I had to push a hose out of the way. But it does fit and works well.

Also, got the bumper with the cut outs but they don't really help with my fat arms. I have to go through the top with cut outs.

I don't care what anyone says - nothing beat the nautical blue

One more for the warn here.

Ended up scoring a 10-S platinum on black friday to go in my SSO bumper. The remote clutch release and wireless makes for an excellent combo with the low profile bumper. I never need to open to hood, and everything works just as you would expect it to.

It is a lot of money, but it is definitely a very nice piece of kit. It just works, and the quality on everything is fantastic from everything I have seen.
