So, two bolts per side and the universal winch plate is welded to the end if the frame and to the inside frame rails? Us that right?

Any flex in the set-up when under a load?

no flex in the set up, i put it under major load this weekend on a tree and didnt flex at all.

I used a badlands winch plate, cut 2 1/4 inches off each side. then i cut 4 1/2 inches off the back of it.

I cut off my frame rail ends and welded plates to them with a nut welded to the back, then i welded a couple spots on the winch plate to the frame rails,

welded up some plates to the winch plate to bolt to the front of the frame rails. it is really solid. I wish i was better with a computer and photo shop stuff so i could give you guys a complete schematic but i cant. I will help anyone interested in doing this though.

I could do that for a small fee. Took me about 4 hours with a lunch break, and it was my first time.

Its a nice concept of keeping the winch hidden. Has it affected your approach angle? From the looks of the rollers, it seems like it could be reduced but could be due to the angle at which the picture is taken.

Kinda TMI but I get ya. There's always something else to spend money on. But I have averted from spending my disposable income from guns to my 4runner now.
So when you possibly get some time or a reason to come to Indy. I will still have my welder and the offer stands for any T4R owner.

I have a Hobart 125ez. Picked it up off Craigslist with a miller pro hobby helmet for under $300. It's paid for itself many times over already.
